Master's in Management, E-Business & Digital Marketing (CNAM Paris)

Master's Student 2 years, full-time (Oct 2024 – Oct 2026)
Contents

Since October 2024, I’ve been pursuing a Master’s in Management at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) in Paris, through its Institut International du Management (IIM) , specializing in E-Business & Digital Marketing. It’s a fully-funded, two-year, full-time program taught in English at one of France’s grandes écoles (a formal, examined grounding in digital strategy and marketing, not just practical experience).

The Program

The MIM is structured as two years building toward two degrees at once: a French national Master Droit, économie et gestion, mention marketing vente, and an MSc in E-Business and Digital Marketing.

Master 1 (2024–2025) laid the general management foundation: Financial Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Management of the Firm, Management Accounting, Finance, Organization Theory, E-Business, and an Interactive Group Project, alongside French language classes. I passed M1 in full on my first sitting, with E-Business as my strongest subject and solid results across the rest of the core.

Master 2 (2025–2026) is the specialization year, going deep on the E-Business & Digital Marketing track: New Consumer Behavior, Social Media & Search, B2B Marketing, Digital Marketing, International Corporate Strategy, Business Model Evolution & Strategic Marketing, Business Law & Cyberlaw, E-Commerce & Logistics, Project Management Fundamentals, Web Analytics, Management & Information Systems, and a Business Simulation, plus Career Management. The program also requires a mandatory 3–6 month professional placement, which I’m doing at Mes Indes Galantes , a Paris boutique, leading its webmarketing strategy and e-commerce operations. A thesis and its defense close out the program in September 2026, ahead of the diploma jury that October.

The Scholarship

The degree is funded by Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digitalisasi, formerly Kominfo), under its Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Program 2024 . I was one of 16 recipients selected nationwide that year, sent across six partner countries, with CNAM Paris as one of the host institutions. My employer at the time, Universitas Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin , released me on formal study assignment to take it up.

It’s a bonded scholarship: in exchange for full funding, I committed to returning to Indonesia after graduation and contributing to the country’s digital transformation efforts, sharing what I’ve learned rather than just banking the credential.

What It Adds Up To

Between the coursework and the applied side of the program, this degree is where a lot of what I already did in practice got formal names, frameworks, and rigor attached to it: digital marketing strategy, e-business models, social media and search, e-commerce and supply chain operations, web analytics, business law as it applies to digital commerce, and project management. The Mes Indes Galantes internship is where that coursework is getting tested against a real business rather than a case study.
