Between finishing the nursing diploma and joining Universitas Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin, I spent about six months as a volunteer nurse (Tenaga Kerja Sukarela) at a community health center in Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan. It’s a short, unremarkable stretch on its own, but it’s the actual bridge between the diploma and the career that came right after.
